Include Clear Call To Actions
In order to get people to sign up to your list or do whatever you want them to do, make sure to include a clear call-to-action. This can be a bar on the top or the bottom of your website, a signup form at the bottom of each blog post or in the sidebar, a popup signup form, or a big “buy now” button. Make sure it is easily visible and clearly conveys what you want your visitors to do. You can include more than one type of call-to-action on your website.
Minimize Distractions
If you want more conversions, minimize distractions. For example, if you want more people to sign up to your email list, remove any banner ads, whether they are in the middle of your blog post or in a sidebar or in a slide-in popup. Consider removing the sidebar altogether. Certainly stay away from automatically playing videos.
